Time is a fundamental question to the comprehension of the man/world connection and, equally, on the understanding of literary manifestations. Several rhythms and temporalities that pass by the world human experience disclose the comprehension of the being upon himself manifested on literary productions. Newton’s absolute time, Einstein’s relativity, Agostinho’s conscience time, Heidegger’s temporal ontology, the holy and profane time of the thought religious structure are some of the windows in which we can observe the man/world connection. In this article, we investigate the temporal conceptions founded on Felipe Fortuna’s lyric, more specifically, on the poems that compose the section “Beings” of the work Stand (1997), watching the complementary abundance between the several manners in which man and time are mutually constructed on the poet’s lyric.
