The early years of the 20th century passed under the shadow of the power struggle between Sultan Abdulhamid who ruled the country for 33 years and his opponents. However, contrary to all expectations, the strategic cooperation among the member of this Party, Armenian separatist organizations, Greek orthodox community and Jewish community against the powerful and oppressive rule of Sultan Abdulhamid did not last long in the wake of “the declaration of liberty.” While the Jewish community stood by the state ruled by the Union and Progress, the process came to an end when the members of the Committee of Union and Progress and Greek and Armenian communities broke up their collaboration
