Symbolique anthroponymique des figures féminines dans l’œuvre de Habib Tengour 

Abstract

In this present article, we analyze the onomastic symbolism of some important female figures in the work of the Algerian writer Habib Tengour, through the study of the choices of first names of female characters representing some stereotypical figures, particularly in the Algerian literature. In fact, he woman in Habib Tengour embodies the image of the lover or the wife, or a fusion between the two, she can also represent the stereotype of the seductress, who exalts the natural and sophisticated feminine assets of the woman . The female figures embody dôme times, through their first names intentionally chosen to represent literary and poetic symbolism, relating to the homeland and the author’s points of attachment to his roots, directly or through his male characters. Female characters, through their first names and the nature of their relationships with their lovers, can also symbolize certain ideological trends or cultural conflicts.
