With the rapid development of higher education in China, private colleges and universities play an important role in the field of education. In order to accelerate the development of private colleges and universities and realize high-quality talent cultivation, it is imperative to build an effective long-term mechanism of industry-teaching integration, collaborative education potential and the integration of digital transformation. In this paper, after establishing the rocket model of the long-term mechanism of industry-teaching integration and school-enterprise cooperation in private colleges and universities in the post-transfer period and the integration of digital transformation, we use a combination of in-depth interviews and questionnaires to collect data on the level of integration and the factors affecting it. The factor analysis model, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and structural equation modeling are used to process the collected data to promote effective integration. The empirical results show that the current level of integration of the university’s long-term mechanism of university-enterprise cooperation for industry-teaching integration and digital transformation is at an average level, with a mean value of about 0.35, which still has a large room for progress, and government-led, industry guidance, enterprise participation and school promotion all significantly affect the level of integration (P<0.05). Effective mechanism construction can achieve a close combination of integration with digital transformation, improving the teaching quality and student’s employment competitiveness in private universities.
