The concept of citizenship has evolved by social, political and cultural changes, so it is necessary to review the scope of a global citizen that is participatory and respectful of diversity of thought. To the extent that globalization creates new interconnections, it is necessary to educate the person in living skills and also recognize their rights and duties beyond national borders. In this sense, a descriptive qualitative approach was applied to this article, supported by a literature review that allowed establishing the relationship between education and global citizen.
