Application of retroauricular pedicle flap on repairing skin defect in auricle skin tumor resection

Objective To observe the effect of retroauricular pedicle flap on repairing skin defect after auricle skin tumor resection. Methods From June 2019 to June 2021, a total of 8 patients with auricle skin tumor were admitted to our hospital. The skin defect left after intraoperative expanded resection of the tumor was repaired with retroauricular pedicle flap. Results All the wounds healed after operation with slight scar along with good color and texture. The auricle shape was satisfactory after more than 6 months of follow-up. Conclusion The auricle skin defect can be repaired with retroauricular pedicle flap after auricle skin tumor resection. The operation is simple, effective and worthy of clinical application.
