Strategies for improving the implementation of e-learning method in undergraduate program
Abstract
STRATEGI PENINGKATAN PENERAPAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN E-LEARNING PADA PROGRAM SARJANA Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis persepsi dosen dan mahasiswa Departemen Manajemen Sumberdaya Perairan (MSP) terhadap penerapan metode pembelajaran e-learning dan merumuskan strategi peningkatan penerapan metode tersebut pada program sarjana Departemen MSP. Responden adalah mahasiswa aktif dan dosen Departemen MSP. Alat analisis data yang digunakan adalah service quality (SERVQUAL), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), dan matriks importance-performance. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil kuesioner yang telah diisi dan dilengkapi oleh responden. Data sekunder diperoleh melalui observasi dengan melakukan pengamatan langsung pada data-data internal. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk perumusan strategi. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata tingkat kepentingan atribut e-learning lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata tingkat kinerja atribut e-learning terkait penerapan metode pembelajaran e-learning. Departemen MSP perlu meningkatkan kinerja atribut e-learning dengan merumuskan beberapa strategi. Strategi yang direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan kinerja tersebut adalah perbaikan sarana dan prasarana pendukung e-learning, sosialisasi e-learning, dan penyediaan tenaga teknisi pengelola e-learning. Abstract This study was aimed at analyzing the perceptions of the lecturers and students of the Water Resources Management Department (WRMD) on the application of E-learning methods and formulating the strategies to improve the application of the method. The respondents were the active students and the lecturers of WRMD. The data analysis tools used were service quality (SERVQUAL), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and importance-performance matrix. The types of data used were primary and secondary data. The primary data were obtained from the questionnaire completed by the respondents. The secondary data were obtained through observation of internal data. Data were analyzed using the descriptive techniques. The results show that the average value of the importance of E-learning attribute is higher than the average value of E-learning attribute of performance level related to the application of the E-learning method. The WRMD needs to improve the performance of E-learning attributes by creating some strategies. The recommended strategies are improving E-learning support facilities and infrastructure, conducting E-learning socialization, and providing E-learning technical assistants.
