Several chlorinated butyl rubbers (CIIR) with different microstructures were selected to study the effects of microstructure and calcium stearate content on their vulcanization characteristics, physical and mechanical properties and heat aging resistance. The results showed that the curing rate was accelerated with the increase of the content of chlorinated secondary allyl group structure of CIIR. With the increase of calcium stearate content, the optimum curing time was prolonged, the crosslinking density of CIIR compound decreased and the heat aging resistance became worse. The larger the Mooney stress relaxation slope was, the smaller the shrinkage of the product was, which indicated that the product had the better dimensional stability and processing performance.
