They are presented in these results obtained in a broader investigation on aspects related to adolescents and ICT. Specifically, in this work, data related to the use of television is analyzed. Given the complexity of factors that surround the life of our young people in today's society, equally complex, that we have had to live; We found it relevant to investigate the subject of television and its influence on the lives of our adolescents. Of all the ICTs, television and telephone are the majority in the lives of adolescents. Television is seen by all teenagers, being one of the activities that occupies more time, both in their day to day, and during weekends. The importance of the use and abuse that adolescents make of television and its consequences is a major issue. They do not conceive life without the television that gathers the attractiveness of the image, the sound, the surprise, the variety, the immediacy live from anywhere in the world, etc .... Well used television entertains, encourages the imagination, transmits knowledge and values, promotes lifestyles, promotes culture, etc ... on the contrary, an inappropriate use of it, favors sedentary lifestyle, encourages a certain world view in such a way that what does not appear on TV seems to be non-existent, affects negatively on interpersonal relationships, favors the imitation of what appears on the screen; which may imply acceptance of violence, uncontrolled sexual practices, seduction by consumerism, and little intellectual effort, etc ... Specifically, the data presented here refer to some aspects related to the use of television, by the ESO and 1st Bachillerato students of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria.
