Abstract
Manuscripts of Léopold Sédar Senghor’s poetic works were donated to the French National Library de France following an exhibition devoted to him at the end of 1978. Few in number, the choice of these manuscripts is questionable, as are the intentions behind both the exhibition and the donation. Thus, this article examines the genesis of this spectacular exhibition.
