Abstract
The basis for searching for the point of intersection between the author and the selected genre of his literary text, between the man and the story he invented became Chekhov's prose work Three Years. The attention focused on the complicated model of Chekhov's creative personality (diaries, correspondence and others) and on how this model was variably transformed on the level of philosophy, aesthetics and poetology through his vision of the subject, the character, the problem and the stylistics of his prose and drama.
