Mixed convective flow in a multiple port ventilation square cavity with insulated baffle
Abstract
Heat transfer engineering is a vital area among those that care the quick development of electronic equipment cooling technology. Forced convection in a multi-ventilation square cavity induced by adiabatic baffle is studied numerically. The adiabatic baffle is placed in different position and the flow is considered to be two-dimensional. The objective of multi-port is provided opposite sides for limited inflow of cold adjacent fluid and limited emitting of warm heater fluid. The finite volume method is adopted to solve the system of governing equations. The output of the results has been discussed in terms of streamlines, isotherms and average heat transfer rate. It is found that the higher Prandtl number fluids leads the heat transfer rate. Almost all situation, the movement of the fluid from inlet to outlet passage through top portion of the cavity.
