Towerd Method to Find The Elevations of Points to Creat Digital Elevations Model (DEM) Using Global Positioning System(GPS)

Abstract

In this present research mathematical model is built , this model has theability of using global positioning system (G.P.S) to compute the elevations withhigh accuracy to use in mapping contour lines with contour interval 1m applied infabricating digital elevation model (DEM). Certain spot height are chosen bymeans of universal standard, the measurements are mathematically analyzed usinggeneral equations in geodesy to obtain acceptable accuracy to all engineeringworks .
