Results of introduction of Hunnemannia fumariifolia Sweet in M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Gardens of the NAS of Ukraine

Abstract

Results of an initial trial of a decorative representative of the Papaveraceae Juss. family, Hunnemannia fumariifolia Sweet, conducted at the M.M. Gryshko National Botanic Gardens of the NAS of Ukraine are presented. Information about the schedule of phenological stages and their duration, specificities of biologic reproduction in culture, seed productivity data and data on the planting qualities of seeds are included. Data were analyzed to indicate the rate of success at introduction and potential success in landscaping use in Polissya and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine.
