From individuals to the galaxy of mankind: East-west-south co-operation for democracy and human development
Abstract
Looking at history we see how human families inclined to lead a group life by nature, have been moving from communities of clansmen through a larger tribe structure uniting these societies, to nations housing a whole mix of tribes. At a time not so distant from ours, nations began to unite in organisational structures of states, which finally in recent times split into two blocs, each of which was guided by a different concept of social organisation. From this point of view, the year 1989, marked by the crumbling of the Berlin Wall, opens a new stage in the lengthy process of unification of mankind.
