The history of mankind owes much to outstanding thinkers, talented researchers, including in the field of philosophy. It was thanks to their efforts that social values and innovative ideas were formulated, and development progressed along the line of progress. The history of Muslim philosophical thought of the twentieth century is represented by a number of outstanding personalities. Although there are similarities in their views on certain issues and ideas, however, there were differences in solving a number of serious problems. Among them are Ali Shariati (Iran) and Saeed Qutb (Egypt). They made a significant contribution to the development of socio-philosophical issues, were leading representatives of the spiritual culture of their people and the entire region. Both were philosophers of the Muslim movement who considered Islam to be simply a religion, a moral revolutionary project based on the principle of secularism. There are also other, rather obvious differences, between the concepts of these thinkers of the modern era. Although Ali Shariati was more influenced by European philosophers, the teachings of Saeed Qutb were distinguished by a strong orientation towards the teachings of Muslims. In addition, the pantheistic views of Ali Shariati should not be ignored.
