The effectiveness of the mindfulness training on Psychological well-being and resiliency of female-headed household
Abstract
Female-headed household (FHH) were exposed to psychological problems due to experience of persistent and chronic pressure. The purpose of study was to investigate the effectiveness of the mindfulness training on psychological well-being (PW) and resiliency of FHH. The study design was quasi-experimental and pre-test-post-test and follow-up with control group. The population included all FHH covered by Fatima Zahra's (Charisma) Charity Center in 2017 that among those, 30 cases were selected according to the inclusion criteria and random sampling and were placed in control and experimental groups. The Experimental group received 8 sessions of 90 minutes based on mindfulness training. The short form of Reef psychological well-being scale (Reef, 1989) and Resiliency Scale (Connor & Davidson, 2003) was used. Data were analyzed by Analysis of covariance test.
