In this paper we outlined aspects regarding the effects of globalization on the labor market and education in Romania. We conducted an analysis on the effects of globalization on employment in Romania. The research will be carried out at national level in the period 2017-2019. In our research we used the observation method based on the description of the concept of globalization and the effects of this phenomenon on the employment and education system in our country. Secondly, we analyzed the consequences of globalization on the Romanian education system. The results of the research show that globalization has intensified trade and created jobs. Globalization imposes many challenges at the level of each country, so also at the level of our country, such as: the demographic deficit, the differences between the rights of the employees in different regions, the adaptation to the new technologies, the reduction of the active population, the necessity of the climate approach. However, managing the impact of globalization on the labor market still requires much effort both at the level of Romania and at the level of the EU member states.
