POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS DE MELHORIA DA QUALIDADE DE VIDA - UM FOCO NA ECOLOGIA E NA SAÚDE
Abstract
Objective: This work deals with public policy for improving quality of life with an emphasis on its health and ecology components. Specifically, we sought to examine the conceptual, theoretical and historical dimensions which are relevant to the state of well-being and quality of life, in which as well as identify key factors that have an effect upon the relation between human health and ecology. Data source: For the specific approach of the object of study, analyses were conducted about three public policies for social development where the interface of the health and ecology is clearly evidenced. Data synthesis: The research showed that the multifactorial components involved in health and environmental problems must be considered and treated through an interdisciplinary approach which incorporates the economic, social and cultural rights in the formulation and implementation of public policies related to health and the environment. Conclusions: The public policies of health promotion and prevention support those of sustainable development, and the latter reinforce the first, showing that the issues of health and environment are inseparable in the field of public and environmental health in the production of quality of life.
