Abstract

Single complete denture with only lower anterior teeth left often causes failure in overall prosthodontic treatment. Functional load lays on the upper alveolar bone, causing bone resorbtion and overgrowth of ginginval tissue. Overdenture can preserve alveolar bone height and prevent further bone resorbtion. Selection of the supporting teeth for overdenture, endodontic treatment, and oral health care become vital in overdenture treatment.
