This work was developed in the scope of the Professional Master's in Technological Teaching through an action research with students of the 6th year of a municipal school in the rural area of Manaus. It discusses and emphasizes the importance of the practice of the field class in soil education, in order to provide the student with the construction of a more comprehensive knowledge on this subject. The results indicate that the field class is an effective didactic strategy, since it favored the increase of the interest, valorization and the amplification of the knowledge about soils.
