La gestion des ressources en eau dans les États de la Paraiba et du Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

In Brazil, the diffusion of the integrated water management model varies according to the socio-territorial environment. The South has a dynamism based on local initiatives. The local actors are organized in committee of basin and develop actions to improve the water resources management. In Nordeste, the move towards these new ways of management appears difficult because the social and cultural inertias slow down the sharing of power, resources and costs.
