In traditional cultures, such as Minangkabau, men often treat women as “complementary sufferers” and mostly consider themselves to be the ultimate human beings. Women are on the weak side, both in community life and in determining the direction of their family life. Such conditions are not infrequently worried about the hearts of the activists of literary works, including Titis Basino. The problem to be disclosed in this research is how is the gender perspective in Titis Basino's novel Aku Supiyah Istri Hardian? This study aims to describe the gender perspective in the work of this female author. This research is based on literature feminism review using qualitative descriptive method. The results shows that gender perspectives in the main thought of feminism in the novel are: the problem of love makes women lose their personality; the role of religion in the subordination of women; the position of women as women in marriage; women's proposal on education. Women for men should be equal partners, both in family life and career or professional choice.
