CARACTERIZACIÓN DE Pseudomonas sp. EN AGUAS RESIDUALES DE CUATRO RESTAURANTES DE LA CIUDAD DEL CUSCO, PERÚ
Abstract
The research is aimed at the isolation and characterization of Pseudomonas sp bacteria. from the wastewater effluent from 04 restaurants in the city of Cusco, Peru. The selection of these restaurants was made due of the high demand of diners and its isolated drainage network only for the kitchen. Pseudomonas sp. of the waters of restaurants with the technique recommended by the American Public Health Association. Morphological characterization, Gram staining, oxidase testing, catalase, ultraviolet light fluorescence and gelatin liquefaction were performed. As a result, 16 colonies of the genus Pseudomonas were characterized, of which 16 had Gram-negative coloration, 13 colonies had reaction to catalase, oxidase, gelatin liquefaction and positive fluorescence. It is concluded that bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas are distributed in the drainage networks of the restaurant kitchen effluent.
