The Comparison of Pathological B.C.C Variation with Previous History of Radiography versus Patients without History of Radiotherapy

Abstract

Basal cell carsinoma is the most frequent skin tumor of the white people & radiotherapy is one of it’s known etiology. To determine the correlation of histopathologic type of basal cell carcinoma with previous history of radiotherapy. Evaluation of retrospective inpatient & outpatient histopathologic & clinical files in Department of dermatology Loghman Hospital Tehran (between 1987 – 1997). Radiotherapy induced basal cell carcinoma occurs in younger age group & is multifocal , the most prevalent type of radiotherapy induced basal cell carcinoma was pigmented type.
