THE TRAINING OF TEACHERS OF ADULTS IN UKRAINE (END OF XIX - BEGINNING OF XX CENTURY)

The article highlights the state of staffing adult education in Ukraine at the end of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Based on primary sources traced the evolutionary processes in the staffing of adult education from the realization of enlightenment of the masses as a personal duty of intellectuals to the development of specially organized and systematic training of educators of adults Disclosed personal contribution of K. Alchevska in the training of teachers for educational institutions for adults. The attention is focused on the development of a systematic form of training for adult education - special courses, departments and faculties at universities. The curricula and programs are analysed. Found out a tendency to professionalize the content of the training of specialists in adult education, the dominance of professionally oriented disciplines applied areas, mandatory subjects of art and creative direction, the presence of psycho-pedagogical and social science component. Drawn conclusion about expedience of study of experience of organization and maintenance of preparation of specialists for education of adults on the border of ХІХ-ХХ of centuries as historical soil of professional preparation of teachers of adults on the modern stage.
