Abstract This report describes surgical decompression and stabilization of 2 hemivertebrae in a German shepherd dog. Long‐term clinical and imaging outcomes are documented. Spinal cord decompression via corpectomy improved neurological function and intrinsic spinal cord changes on MRI. The dog improved to have minimal paraparesis and an active lifestyle.
