MOVILIDAD ESTUDIANTIL Y TURISMO ACADÉMICO: MIRADAS COMUNES ENTRE LA INTERNACIONALIZACIÓN Y EL TURISMO

Abstract

La internacionalización de la educación superior ha sido foco de atención en las universidades e institutos de educación superior. En los últimos años, la afluencia de jóvenes estudiantes universitarios internacionales ha crecido considerablemente. Como efecto de la internacionalización ha emergido una modalidad turística conocida como Turismo Académico, es por ello que en la investigación se plantea indagar la génesis de esta modalidad retomar las raíces de la misma, así como analizar su estructura y su interrelación con otras modalidades tomando en cuenta la necesaria gestión del Turismo Académico en destinos turísticos. Se realizó un análisis conceptual desde la perspectiva de varios autores a nivel internacional y nacional. Los resultados identificados permitieron ahondar en la amplia interrelación entre la internacionalización, el turismo académico y las formas de gestión del mismo, el esclarecimiento de las Áreas de Resultados Claves propias de la modalidad que favorezcan una adecuada gestión para el desarrollo de un destino turístico. STUDENT MOBILITY AND ACADEMIC TORUISM: COMMON VIEWS BETWEEN INTERNATIONALIZATION AND TOURISM ABSTRACT The internationalization of higher education has been a focus of attention in universities and institutes of higher education. In recent years, the influx of young international university students has grown considerably. As a result of internationalization, a tourist typology known as Academic Tourism has emerged, which is why in research it is proposed to investigate the genesis of this modality by retaking its roots, as well as the analysis of its structure and its interrelation with other modalities. Taking into account the necessary management of Academic Tourism in tourist destinations. A conceptual analysis was carried out from the perspective of several authors at international and national level. The results identified allowed to delve into the wide interrelationship between internationalization, academic tourism and its forms of management, the clarification of the Areas of Key Results characteristic of the modality that favor an adequate management for the development of a tourist destination.
