Abstract

Este texto trata de analizar el intento de Coubertin para desarrollar una psicología aplicada al deporte desde el punto de vista de su dinámica, su contenido y sus bases científicas, para entender sus etapas y las resistencias y obstáculos encontrados. La psicología concebida por Coubertin a lo largo de su obra está constituida por una psicología de los deportes y de la juventud varonil y mezcla distintos modelos teóricos. De esta forma, se queda aislada del entorno científico contemporáneo tanto desde el punto de vista de su contenido como de su metodología. Abstract: This paper analyzes the attempt of Coubertin to develop a psychology applied to sport from the point of view of its dynamics, content and scientific basis, to understand its stages and resistances and obstacles. The psychology conceived by Coubertin throughout his work is constituted by a sports psychology and young manhood and mixing different theoretical models. Thus, it is isolated from contemporary scientific environment from the point of view of its content and its methodology.
