Metaplastic Tumors of the mammary gland are infrequent. The diagnosis should be based on studies of hematoxylin and eosin, confirmed by inmunohistochemical markers. It is a type of malignant neoplasm which includes a group of uncommon heterogeneous entities characterized by mixing a high grade invasive ductal epithelial component with a squamous or sarcomatoid component which adopts a variable phenotype. Its prognosis is worse than conventional carcinomas and is related to the tumor size, histological type, and grade of mesenquimatic component.
