The articlestudiesapproachestoconceptualizationofqualityoflifeandevaluatestheacademicacceptabilityofexisting Russian andinternationalindicesofthequalityoflife. The goalofthepresentarticleistoassesstheinterrelationofobjectiveandsubjectivefiguresinthestructureofqualityoflifeindicesonthebasisof VEB.RF Index. The analysiswascarriedoutbyestimatingthedependenceofthequalityoflifeperceptiononthelevelofeducation, comfortofdwellings, accessibilityofmedicalinstitutionsandfoodstores, contaminationoftheatmosphere, thelevelofprofits, senseofsecurityandhealthindicators (basedondataof 2021). The choiceof VEB.RF Index asananalyticaltoolwasgroundedbythefactthatitsdatabase, incontrasttootherindices, isopenanditsstructureisbasedbothonobjectiveandsubjectiveindicators. The authorsidentifiedthecorrelationbetweenobjectiveandsubjectiveindicatorsanditprovesthenecessitytotakeintoaccountbothtypesofindicatorsforworkingoutthequalityoflife indices.
