Guo L, Yang T. Cancer Manag Res. 2019;11:10499–10508. At the authors request, the Editor and Publisher of Cancer Management and Research wish to retract the published article. The authors raised concerns that several migration and invasion images in Figure 4 had been duplicated. Specifically, Figure 4A, MCF-7, 30 µM appears to have been duplicated with the same image for Figure 4B, MCF-7, 30 µM. Figure 4B, MCF-7, DMSO appears to have been duplicated with the same image for Figure 4B, MCF-7, 10 µM. Figure 4C, MDA-MB-231, DMSO appears to have been duplicated with the same image for Figure 4D, MDA-MB-231, 30 µM. Figure 4C, MDA-MB-231, 10 µM appears to have been duplicated with the same image for Figure 4C, MDA-MB-231, 30 µM; Figure 4D, MDA-MB-231, DMSO and Figure 4D, MDA-MB-231, 10 µM. The authors were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for how the images came to be duplicated, nor were they able to provide the original data for their study. The Editor agreed with the authors request to retract the article. Our decision-making was informed by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retraction. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
