With the development of minimally invasive surgical techniques, the widespread adoption of laparoscopic colorectal surgery has improved surgical safety and speed of postoperative recovery in patients. As a core component of minimally invasive surgical techniques, intracorporeal anastomosis technique faces challenges in quality control. This article discusses the technical advantages, indications, contraindications, perioperative preparation, establishment of standardized surgical procedures, application of high-quality instruments, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative assessment of intracorporeal anastomosis technique in totally laparoscopic colorectal surgery. It points out that the establishment of a technical training system plays an important role in improving surgical success rates and reducing complication rates of intracorporeal anastomosis technique, and briefly explores the current issues, challenges and future directions of development of this technique.
