Entre concessions et répressions : les élites gouvernantes centraméricaines confrontées au contrôle de leurs « sociétés civiles »

Abstract

Against the logic of "blocks" that – given their undeniable dependence on the world powers – often prevail when analyzing crises in Central American countries, we will focus here on events that have marked and continue to influence the functioning of Central American societies, observing the way in which these are perceived in the light of subjectivities derived from history and local experiences. It is an opportunity to question an ahistorical vision of situations, which, however unexpected they may seem, are often part of a historical continuity, which gives sense to the interactions between the different actors and restores their specificity.
