A WORK OF LITERATURE IN INTEGRATED TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN NON-LINGUISTIC HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION
Abstract
In the article the question of an integrated approach in teaching a foreign language in non-linguistic higher education institution is considered. The art originality of Edgar Poe’s “The Man of the Crowd” is offered as the subject in this type of teaching, in particular, the poetics of psychological antinomy “the personality - the society”. By the example of the representation of a group psychology and the influence of society on behavior and world-view of the individual, the role of this work of art in formation the humanistic world outlook and cultural potential of the student’s personality is defined.
