Introdução a uma Sociologia da Produtividade

Abstract

This work is an appreciation of the introductory sociological approaches, which give more emphasis to imperfect distribution of resources than the factors responsible for the production of there. In the context of the Industrial Revolution we identify the origins of this approach in demonstrating that industrial capitalism was able to multiply the productivity and deteriorating social conditions. Hence comes the Sociology’s commitment to denounce inequality, historically generating the speech of the Welfare State. However, the materialization of distributive assumptions depends on the production, generating the ambiguity of a political order that need at a time, extract the productive agent and does not discourage productivity. Thus, productivity, innovation and entrepreneurship, combined with education, science and technology become a priority in the State agenda, justifying the sociological effort to understanding factors that can meet the production needs of the Society and the Welfare State concomitantly.
