Abstract

The article is based on this question. The response that they are covered by the family establishes a discussion about the centrality of the family in the current design of public policies, particularly in Brazil. This discussion focuses on two aspects: the first analyzes the role of the family in the context of the Social Welfare State, and the second discusses the family’s resurgence” with the crises o? the Social Welfare State, as a recrudescence of the demands concerning the family’s_role in providing for wellbeing, while it does not have the ability to do so.
