Pluralism is particularly present in social actuality, not only globally but also on the “local” scale of the Portuguese society. In this case, awareness has increasingly been raised by some recent developments that point to restructuring within the religious field: the highlighting of religious minorities in the public sphere and the spreading of new forms of religiosity and of new movements, most of which supported by para-religious beliefs. These facts have been the grounds for the presented study: the attitudes among the Portuguese towards religious diversity have been evaluated, which has demanded, on an empirical level, the analysis of the results of a survey on religious and moral pluralism held in Europe.
