Assessment of the drug efficacy for treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade I-II with pharmaceutical composition Cervicon-DIM in suppository form (Interim results of a clinical trial)

Abstract

The article presents the results of the clinical study about the effictiveness and safety of the novel pharmaceutical composition Cervicon-DIM in suppository form containing 3,3’-diindolylmethane (DIM) substance in 3 months course of conservative treatment of 78 women childbearing age with CIN I-II. The study was multicenter randomized placebo-controlled double-blind and conducted in parallel groups. We observed efficacy of the therapy of patients with CIN I-II by intravaginal application of the Cervicon-DIM in a dose of 200 mg DIM per day. Complete regression of cervical lesions by the histologic examinations was for 85% women.
