Group Portrait of Andragogy in the Context of Discussion about the Meaning of Biographical Research

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore the meaning of biographical research in the context of discussions of collective biography to do with the history of andragogy. The typology of biography and the examples of the collective biographies – with particular emphasis on the science of education – is discussed, based observations concerning the methodology of biographical research on general. In the final part of the text the proposals of people strictly associated with andragogy are presented, as they should be recorded in the dictionary Polish angragogues.
