The article analyzes the features of using an asynchronous electric drive in pumping equipment. Focusing on the problems that arise in the diagnosis, research and maintenance of such engines, in particular in electro-hydraulic systems, the study uses information from an authorized service center "GRUNDFOS" and relevant scientific studies. The unique requirements of these systems, including severe start-up conditions and variable load profiles, emphasize the need for robust equipment diagnostics and maintenance systems. Also, attention is drawn to the criticality of uninterrupted work in such industries as water supply. The article explains the risks associated with abnormal shutdowns of pumping units, emphasizing potential damage to hydraulic and electrical components. In addition, the article considers such modern requirements as energy efficiency, prompting a discussion on the optimization of engine operation algorithms and the introduction of modern control systems. An overview of ways to improve the process of measuring the mechanical parameters of asynchronous motors was carried out. As a result of the analysis, the structure of the computerized information and measurement system (IMS) was developed, in which the emphasis was placed on the flexibility of implementation, and based on the previous research of the authors in this field, a multi-channel IMS was proposed for the study of the mechanical parameters of asynchronous electric motors. The structural diagram of this IMS, which is built on the basis of a computer system with the required number of measurement channels and processing and analysis of measurement information, has been developed and described.
