Laryngeal fibrosarcoma: a case report
Abstract
Fibrosarcomas are the uncommon mesodermal origin tumors of the larynx. Radiation exposure are blamed in the etiology. Pathological examination and immunohistochemical staining plays an important role in diagnosis. Mainly treatment beside surgical treatment; adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy is recommended causing high-grade tumors, positive surgical margins, large masses (>5 cm), and recurrent tumors. Twenty- three years-old male patient was seen in laryngeal fibrosarcoma; diagnosis and treatment options are discussed in this study because of its rarity.
