From Intercultural Mediation to the Transculturality of Human Rights in Contemporary Arab-islamic Philosophy - This article explores the point of view of Arab-Islamic philosophy with respect to the problem of human rights: their transcultural value and their intercultural transmission. The main focus of the argument is on the problems that hinder the universal validity of human rights from being established. The investigation explores primarily the following questions: How is it possible to achieve an intercultural extension of the basic laws on which human rights are grounded? How is it possible to ensure that human rights are universally acknowledged and respected? Is there a contradiction between cultural pluralism and the universal acknowledgment of human rights? What arguments might support the idea of the universal value of human rights?
