This study focuses on two very different works both dedicated to the artist Brancusi : an essay by B. Fondane (first half of the 20th century) and a poem by M. Bénézet (second half of the 20th century). Despite these disparities, it is interesting to see how they are brought together by this muse-like artist who leads them to inquire about artistic creation and poetry. This shared tribute inspires their own act of creation. The links between literature and sculpture not only open a fertile dialogue on a metaphysical and lyric work they find joyful, but also drive them to write this dialogue themselves. Brancusi’s work, enlightened by these two approaches, invites us to define the poetics of a renovated lyricism.
