The skins of the picture: phenomenon, memory/archive, desire

Abstract

The essay proposes to reflect on some deeper dimensions that make photography an event and a revelation but also a place of memories, a life time connected to other file. We will, therefore, to examine the images and ask them (both the archaeologist as the visionary who are) which means they think about human history with them and imagine our own future.
