Propostas recentes para a reforma da formação de professores no Brasil
Abstract
This text discusses governmental measures concerning basic school teachers education that are being taken in Brazil for the last years. In a first moment, this concern is viewed in the scope of broader educational reforms that are being produced, particularly within the Lei de Directrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (LDBEN). Here, the contradictory nature of the focus on flexibility and on assessment is underlined. Different views of the teacher along the history of education in Brazil are also presented aiming at highlighting the controversies and conquests at the level of recent discourse and initiatives taken for the educational professional. To conclude the authors point out several critical aspects of certain initiatives, arguing for points of view that go in a direction other than the general trend, at the same time urging for alternatives.
