Abstract

Statistics are generally classified as being 'objective', i.e. as if they were facts. Because of this, they are also referred to as essential instruments for public policies. This in turn allows the clarification of political decisions, making them more objective and less personalized.The sociology of science has questioned this assertion for a long time, because it considers that statistics are socially constructed. Due to this, it is understood that they have some options and some decisions which are implicit and have nothing todo with mathematical sciences. A matter that qualifies the obtained results.
