This article presents the results of the adaptation of the popular scale of impulsive behavior UUPS-P, focused on the study of this phenomenon. Further on, it was translated into Russian and then adapted to the Russian-language sample. The study involved 324 people, aged 16 to 52 years. Of these, 213 are female, including 70 young women with non-suicidal self-harming behavior and 111 are male, including 46 people who are patients of a drug treatment hospital. In general was 160 people. The results obtained during the adaptation of the scale allow us to conclude that the structure of the scale obtained as a result of the adaptation fully corresponds to the structural components of the basic questionnaire. Checking the UUPS-P scale according to the main psychometric indicators allows us to conclude that it is possible to use the Russian-language version of this diagnostic tool to assess impulsivity as a personality trait.
