Study Regarding the Tourist Activity in Mehedinți County

Abstract

The tourist potential of Mehedinti County it is formed by the grandiose landscape formed by the Danube river and its gorge, the diversity of the relief in the mountainous area, the existence of special floristic and faunal elements, many of them being inscribed in scientific reservations, to which are added impressive testimonies of a millennium past expressed through a series of historical monuments, architecture and art, some unique in their value and originality. [1] Also, in the area studied by us, we find a karst form unique in the country, at Ponoare, represented by a huge vault, formed by the collapse of the walls of a large cave, called the Bridge of God and many ethnographic and ethno folkloric objectives.
