In order to improve the desalination efficiency of the polypyrrole/activated carbon (PPy/AC) electro-adsorption electrode in salty wastewater, the Box-Behnken response surface method was used to optimize the preparation conditions of PPy/AC, specific surface area testing, scanning electron microscope and electrochemical testing were used to characterize the performance of electrode materials. The results show that the optimal process conditions for the preparation of PPy/AC were pyrrole concentration 2.02 mol/L, sodium benzenesulfonate concentration 0.10 mol/L, ferric chloride concentration 2.15 mol/L, and activated carbon quality 2.12 g;the specific surface area of PPy/AC is 499.64 m2/g, polypyrrole is successfully loaded on activated carbon and is flocked, the PPy/AC electrode has a lower transfer impedance, and the specific capacitance of the electrode increased from 89.66 F/g to 276.83 F/g.
